Layered Rim Mug

A handmade mug with a rich red body and a layered dark-to-cream glaze around the rim. The transition is allowed to move naturally in the kiln, creating soft drips and variations that give the surface depth without overwhelming the form. The rounded body and compact handle create a comfortable, familiar shape for daily use. This piece is intended to feel warm and grounded in the hand, with the glaze providing the atmosphere. As with all handmade ceramics, small variations in form, glaze flow and surface are part of its character. Each mug is individually made, so the final finish is unique.
