Yama Yunomi – Autumn Ridge

A handthrown Yunomi finished in a glossy amber-brown speckled glaze that pools and deepens over a carved base, where the white clay shows beneath the glaze like an autumn ridgeline. A flower is carved into the underside of the foot beside the maker's stamp, a quiet detail found only when the cup is turned over. Comfortable in the hand for tea and slow moments. Each piece is made and finished individually, so small differences in carving, glaze and form are part of its handmade character.
