Yama Yunomi – Foothill

A handthrown stoneware Yunomi with a bold carved foot that reveals the white clay beneath a soft cream glaze. A small flower is carved into the underside of the foot, hidden until the cup is lifted. The compact form sits comfortably in the hand and is well suited to tea. Every cut is made individually by hand. Each piece is made and finished individually, so small differences in carving, glaze and form are part of its handmade character.
