Yama Yunomi – Quiet Valley

A handthrown Yunomi with a pale beige speckled glaze resting on a knife-carved base, where the white clay shows beneath the glaze like a quiet valley path. A small flower is carved into the underside of the foot, a hidden detail revealed only when the cup is turned. Comfortable proportions for tea or other small drinks. Each piece is made and finished individually, so small differences in carving, glaze and form are part of its handmade character.
